Do you have a skills shortage?
How do you bridge your skills shortage gap?
Many forward-thinking employers are currently involved in apprenticeships and other training programmes,
from small employers who employ fewer than five staff to household names such as Thames Water, Egg and Western Power.
There are some real benefits to your business and the wider community to be gained from engaging with us to provide work-based learning.
Data gathered during the National Employers Skills Survey (2009) highlighted that 74% of job vacancies were hard to fill,
and approximately 1.7 million staff were described as having a skills gap. Skills deficiencies inhibit those organisations
that are often striving to grow and improve their performances. Recruitment problems are usually highest where the skills
required of employees are relatively modest. Engaging with and supporting apprentices can help fill the gap that just over
one fifth of employers report they have. You can help your business grow and at the same time give someone a chance. Putting
extra trained help to good use potentially enables you to carry out more business — this may apply particularly to you
if you are a small or developing business. Apprenticeships and other training programmes produce well-motivated, productive,
skilled individuals. But, as with anything worthwhile, you get as much out as you put in!
Are you interested in taking on work-focused volunteers such as administrators, IT personnel, construction
support personnel, care and social workers, to name but a few?
Then please see how we can help!
